CORE COURSE · INTRODUCTORY
Race, Media, & International Affairs 101
This course examines the intersection between race, national identity, and the mass media in today's global world order. Students learn how people of color are challenging the journalism status quo, and how media narratives both fight and perpetuate inequalities.
By the end, students develop a deeper media literacy around race and its intersections with national and global politics.

ADVANCED COURSE · CONTINUATION
Race, Media, & International Affairs 102
Open to students who have completed 101. We expand upon the concepts and conversations of the introductory course, exploring new areas of history that mainstream educational institutions have neglected or obfuscated.

Access to class recordings only, available through the term of the course. Access ends one week after the last class.
Supporter Tier + access to live Zoom classes and the student chat. Be part of the room as it happens.
Community Tier + access to weekly small-group discussions. Closer conversation, deeper engagement.
Discourse Tier + a signed Certificate of Completion + sponsorship of one Supporter Tier student.
Anchor Tier + a 1:1 30-minute feedback session on a current project + a scholarship for one Supporter Tier student.
Can't take the class but want to support? Contributions go toward scholarships, operations, and guest lecturer honoraria.
